Despina Trivolis and Christiana Thomaidi

Born and raised in Greece and educated in St. Andrews, London and Oxford, Despina, CB’s Operations Manager in Athens, has been working as a journalist and editor in Athens and London for more than 10 years, including stints at the Guardian, Lifo, the Reuters Institute and HuffPost Greece, where she is currently heading the Life and Culture section. Her favorite pastimes include writing, reading and editing stories on arts, business, books, food and travel, walking around Athens and eating souvlaki. Christiana was born and raised in Piraeus. Currently completing a BS in Economics, she has also been the food editor of Gastronomos, the food magazine of Athens daily Kathimerini, for three years, and as of May 2013 she has also overseen the newspaper’s food, pastry and wine and spirits websites. In addition, Thomaidi consults for various startup food companies, including Ariadne and Drinkworks. She loves a cup of fine tea and captures all things mouthwatering for her photo diary, Another Visual.
